Doug Painter Joins Board Of Hunting Heritage Trust

Doug Painter, the well known and highly respected former President and CEO of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Hunting Heritage Trust.

A 40-year industry veteran, Painter retired from a long and distinguished career as an NSSF executive and spokesperson in March, 2011. He was elected to the Heritage Trust Board as an advisor to the National Shooting Sports Foundation where he will report directly to NSSF President and CEO, Steve Sanetti.

"There is scarcely a better known or more respected name in the hunting and conservation world than Doug Painter and we are indeed proud to welcome Doug back to the Hunting Heritage Trust Board of Directors", commented Bill Fraim, Chairman of the Trust's Board of Directors. "Doug served previously on our Board is his capacity as the CEO of the NSSF, so we are well aware of the intelligence and insight Doug brings to an organization such as ours".

"I'm honored to be re-elected to the Heritage Trust Board and look forward to continuing to help the Trust in its strong efforts to sustain and build upon America's great sporting traditions," Painter said.

Painter also serves on Board of Directors of the Wonders of Wildlife museum and is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Wildlife Management Institute.
