Bear Hunting Magazine is proud to announce its new editorial team that will make your favorite hunting magazine better than ever.

Publisher Jeffrey Folsom learned bear hunting the do-it-yourself way back in the late 80s. Though not many bears were seen or taken in the early years, a lot was learned. Jeff started Bear Hunting Magazine back in 1999 because bear hunters needed a resource for quality bear hunting information from other knowledgeable bear hunters. Jeff now travels to many states and provinces hunting and learning more about bears. He enjoys the variety of hunting methods and weapons available, which helps add new ideas for articles.

Dick Scorzafava, who has been a part of every issue of Bear Hunting Magazine, is now our Editor. Dick is passionate about bears and bear hunting and has been since he first started working with a bear biologist when he was nine years-old. He has studied and hunted bears all across North America and has over 40 years of hands-on, in-the-field experience. Dick was also a bear hunting guide for 10 years and has taken over 100 bears using every legal hunting method. He is the author of three books, including the Radical Bear Hunter, and is an award winning outdoor writer. Dick's passion for bear hunting, vast bear knowledge and experience along with his great ideas will be used to make Bear Hunting Magazine better than ever.

Bernie Barringer is the new Managing Editor and has been an outdoor writer for more than 20 years. He has gained valuable experience as a serious bear hunter for many years and has contributed several great articles to the magazine with the first one back in 2001. Bernie has a degree in journalism/photography and he brings a wealth of experience in writing and editing to Bear Hunting Magazine. With about 400 feature articles and 10 books to his credit along with experience in editing several magazines, his background will help steadily increase our quality and readership. Bernie enjoys not only hunting bears, but helping others be successful in their pursuit of this fascinating and challenging species.
