The competition runs thick between Chris and Von (brothers) week in and week out! As fate would have it, both Chris and Von positioned themselves perfectly (stand hunting) as each of them would harvest a trophy buck.
The excitement level remains high in episode two of Savage Outdoors. Mike Stroff, Host, Savage Outdoors and co-host, Jamie Satterfield travel to the World Turkey Hunting Championships in Clay County, TX. The conditions in Texas proved to be challenging with wild fires and high winds that impacted the free-range Turkey Hunting Championship. Despite "Mother Nature's" fury, Savage Outdoors' overcame the 50 mph winds to stalk and harvested a turkey. In their first time competing in the Championship, Team Savage Outdoors won the Turkey Hunting Championship.
"I've been hunting a long time and this past season proved to be as challenging as any with the unpredictable weather conditions," said Mike Stroff, Host, Savage Outdoors. "Not only did we win the turkey hunting title but we also harvested many big bucks. Our staff enjoyed hunting in different environments and we're proud to share our experiences with the viewers of Sportsman Channel."
Savage Outdoors stays on the move in episode four when Mike Stroff takes videographer, "Uncle Randy Morrison" out from behind the camera with a unique hunt at the SOE Ranches in Texas. Randy was watching a particular buck all season and has him patterned for two months before Randy takes the 13-point buck in December.
Mike Stroff was born on Camp Lejeune Marine Corp base in Jacksonville, NC. He started in the outdoor industry at a very young age. His family owned and operated Flatwoods Outfitters, which was a shooting complex for rifle, pistol, shotgun, and also had 3D archery ranges.
