Redfield Creates Revolution in Oregon for American Hunters

Built in Oregon for American hunters, Redfield's new line of Revolution™ riflescopes offers an unmatched array of optical, mechanical and functional features in the commonly affordable $130 retail price range.

The Revolution comes in 2-7x33mm, 3-9x40mm, 3-9x50mm and 4-12x40mm models, each with a black matte finish and either a 4-Plex or Accu-Range™ reticle.

Key features include:

* Illuminator® Lens System with premium lenses and vapor-deposition multi-coatings for a bright, crisp sight picture. The system is designed to provide superior light transmission in the critical low-light/blue wavelength conditions that are often present when game is most active.

* Accu-Trac™ windage and elevation adjustment system with resettable precision stainless steel ¼-MOA finger click adjustments for superior repeatability and reliability.

* Rapid Target Acquisition™ (RTA) lockable eyepiece to help the hunter quickly find the "sweet spot" behind the scope and shoot with greater accuracy.

* Accu-Range™ reticle option provides hold points to 500 yards for simple, long-range shooting precision.

* Wider field of view than competitive riflescopes.

* Comes with coupon for free Scopecoat neoprene scope cover ($20 retail value) with purchase of Leupold® rings.

"The Revolution is an ideal choice for the whitetail deer hunter who wants a 'best in class' riflescope for around $130," said Andy York, Redfield's vice president of sales, marketing and technology. "In fact, it's the only choice in its class for those who want a name-brand riflescope that is not made overseas. We are especially proud of the fact that Revolution riflescopes are built in our Oregon facility by American workers. They embody the Soul of the American Hunter™ and their craftsmanship is second to none. Our workers' skill, hunting backgrounds and experience, combined with state-of-the-art design, manufacturing, assembly and testing techniques, make the Revolution an outstanding riflescope in every way."

Revolution riflescopes have a one-inch maintube machined from lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum, and are nitrogen filled to make them waterproof, fog proof and shock proof. Exhaustive testing in the factory and field ensures the scopes' durability. With the Redfield® Industrial Design, three rings of diamond knurling on the eyepiece and a rough texture to the matte finish, Revolution riflescopes sport a rugged look to match its rugged construction. They are covered by the Redfield Full Lifetime Warranty.

Revolution riflescopes are the first products in the new Redfield line. Acquired by Leupold & Stevens, Inc. in 2008, Redfield is now a brand of the Oregon-based company. All Revolution riflescopes are built at the state-of-the-art Leupold plant near Beaverton, Ore., where approximately 600 people are employed. The Redfield Gun Sight Company was founded in 1909 by John Hill Redfield. Over the years, Redfield became one of the leading American manufacturers of hunting optics, known for the accuracy, ruggedness and reliability of its products.
