CHESTER, VIRGINIA - Carl Zeiss Sports Optics and Blaser, two of the industry's innovation leaders, have partnered to design the first hunting rifle and riflescope combination customized to work seamlessly together. Cocking the Blaser R 93 iC automatically illuminates the ZEISS riflescope reticle and within this split second, the hunter is ready to shoot. No more frustrating, pressure-filled moments when game appears unexpectedly, and you mount the rifle, only to realize that you have forgotten to activate the reticle. Illumination happens automatically with the advanced iC technology as a sensor in the eyepiece recognizes the position of the cocking slide and activates the reticle the instant the shooter's thumb pushes the cocking slide forward. The shooting hand stays on the pistol grip and the forward hand no longer has to leave the stock to turn on the riflescope reticle allowing the shooter and rifle to remain one unit. This reduces the steps necessary for quick shots on fast moving game, increasing safety, speed, convenience and stealth.
