Nolan Joins Orion Multimedia

Denver, Colorado - Officials from Orion Multimedia, America's largest independent producer of outdoor television, have announced the appointment of Russ Nolan as Vice President of Sales. Nolan is a 27-year veteran of the outdoor marketing and sales world whose vision and expertise has helped grow some of the largest outdoor media brands in America.

Before joining Orion, Nolan was founder and principal of Nolan Media Consulting, a Twin Cities media business consulting firm. Prior to that he spent 27 years in the media sales and sales and management business where he was Vice President, Group Publisher of North American Media Group, Inc., the largest affinity marketer in the world. Mr. Nolan joined North American Media Group, Inc., in 1980 as Advertising Director where he created the advertising sales department at NAMG. He was made an Assistant Vice President in 1985, promoted to Vice President in 1988 and also became a member of the NAMG board. In 1997 he added the title of Group Publisher and managed all business and advertising sales efforts for 10 North American Media Group publications, three television shows, including the print and television versions of North American Hunter and North American Fisherman. In 2005 he added the responsibilities for NAMG's Event and Sponsorship Departments where he oversaw 32 events including The Masters Walleye Circuit fishing tournament trail, The PGA TOUR Partners Club national member events and the Cooking Club of America's Cooking Schools. In addition to his outdoor media experience, Mr. Nolan also was responsible for media management in the DIY/building, gardening, cooking, golf, health and wellness, custom car and craft and hobby industries. Mr. Nolan received his B.A. in Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University. He is a former member of the National Shooting Sports Foundation's Marketing Council and a former board member of the national conservation and educational 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, Tread Lightly!
