Shimano Sales and Marketing Managers Needed

Are you an experienced Sales Manager looking for a new challenge whereby you can really make an impact? Do you have the ability to set course for clear goals and encourage your team to help you reach them?

In 2020 Shimano Europe will grow and develop our angling sales network to increase the reach and scope of our operation to include both France/Switzerland and Spain/Portugal regions. We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager who shares our values of innovation, customer centricity and high performance who can channel these through their new team in France or Spain. Is this you?

Your first challenge will be to recruit and develop a strong team and become a key part of the European Shimano Fishing network of Sales Offices. Once set up you will be responsible for setting the direction in your region, scoping out the landscape & market, building your contacts and learning your customer behavior.

The Challenge:

·Contribute to the regional strategy and translate this strategy into plans & policies for your area

·Create the annual sales and marketing plan to focus the activities on the relevant KPIs, target markets, key accounts

·Formulate and be responsible for the regional budget working with Shimano Europe to maximise return on investment

·Lead an engaged, skilled & well performing sales & marketing team

·Report on both internal performance (sales figures) and external market trends (competitor analysis or customer feedback) to make forecasts, set priorities and take action to deliver results of annual plans

·Scout out new business opportunities and market trends in order to stay innovative and gain market share whilst also building relationships with key players and customers in your market.

Required Experience:

·Higher education in marketing or commercial related discipline or equivalent experience

·Significant experience working within a sales environment in a similar role

·Understanding of marketing principles

·An experienced people manager who is able to inspire and challenge their team

·Financial management & Excel skills

·Good communication skills in French/Spanish & English, written and spoken

·Understanding of the fishing market including distribution networks or similar.
