A-Listers Trust Steelhead Outdoors Vault Doors

Shakopee, MN -- High-profile public figures are adding safe rooms with Steelhead Outdoors vault doors to protect their family and keep their valuables secure at home. Check out Steelhead Outdoors’ social media – Instagram or Facebook - to discover which well-known personalities are talking about their Steelhead Outdoors vault doors.

“We’re flattered that these individuals trusted us when they could work with anyone,” explained Steelhead Outdoors Co-Founder Corey Meyer. “These were definitely fun projects for our team to work on. But we’re happy to guide anyone through the process to create a safe room or custom safe of their dreams. We can also work closely with security firms and contractors to provide customizable vault doors to fit a customer’s security and aesthetic needs.”

Safe rooms aren’t just for Hollywood celebrities, professional athletes and prominent individuals. Starting at $6,000, Steelhead Outdoors American-made Homestead Vault Doors are an alternative to modular gun safes for people with large gun collections or who want to create a safe room in their home.

The primary reason many opt for a vault door or safe is to prevent unauthorized access to their most valuable items. Unauthorized access could be from burglars, contractors, cleaning services, guests, potential home buyers, as well as children in the home. Ensuring children cannot access items like firearms, jewelry, or sensitive documents is a top priority for many parents.

Steelhead Outdoors Homestead Vault Doors are available in two standard sizes to fit either a 34” x 82.5” or 38” x 82.5” rough opening. Install in an 8” block wall and select the right hand In-Swing door to eliminate the possibility of being trapped inside the room by heavy objects. Standard features include a full 7-gauge steel construction on door and frame (3/16” thick), easy access emergency release and panic room lock. The door is installed using 8 - 3/8” concrete anchors along with a clamping clamshell design for redundant security. The door frame weighs 240-255 pounds and can be pre-installed without the door for easier installation. The door weighs 340-365 pounds, giving an assembled door weight of 590-615 pounds for either a 32” door or 36” door. The bolt on hinges attaches from the inside for easy assembly and 7 locking plates on each side lock into closed pockets within the frame. The locking mechanism is a cam-over-center direct drive design with a ball bearing hard plate and a slip clutch to protect against brute force handle attacks. Choose from a Mechanical Group 2 lock or Electronic S&G Titan Direct Drive lock. Select from standard and custom colors and accents. Steelhead Outdoors can design and build a custom vault door to meet custom size requirements, custom finishes and custom configurations. Doors can be made taller, shorter, out-swing or add extra security by adding additional metal.

Vault doors and safes act as a second line of defense against theft as organized crime rings become more sophisticated. Authorities have alerted the public about a surge in burglaries orchestrated by organized theft groups. These groups are known to conduct physical and technical surveillance to prepare for their crimes so they can orchestrate a quick burglary to minimize risk of being apprehended. These burglary rings are using tactics like disabling security systems with Wi-Fi jamming devices, covering security cameras and concealing their identities.

Thieves target high-profile individuals like athletes and celebrities as well as everyday homeowners in high-end neighborhoods. For instance, prominent athletes’ homes have been targeted on game day and athletes have lost millions of dollars in jewelry, cash, and irreplaceable personal items. The FBI has issued a formal warning to sports leagues about organized theft groups targeting professional athletes. “These homes are targeted for burglary due to the perception they may have high-end goods like designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and cash,” the FBI said in a Liaison Information Report obtained by ABC News.

The FBI urges athletes to report any suspicious activity promptly and to take proactive steps to safeguard their belongings. These recommendations are applicable to everyone and include maintaining detailed records of valuables, creating an inventory of items and their locations, and implementing enhanced security measures at home. Individuals are also advised to exercise caution on social media by avoiding posts that reveal the interior of their homes, display valuable possessions, or share real-time updates while on vacation.
