Job Opening: Vice President, Sales: Hunting Employment Type: Full-time Reporting to: POB’s VP/GM – Signature Game and Land Management Job Location: Birmingham, AL 35242 As part of the POB Hunting Senior Management team, the VP, Sales is responsible for the profitable attainment of all sales and market share objectives for all global customers across multiple hunting brands. It heads the planning, development, and implementation of strategic initiatives and programs to maximize revenue and profitability through all sales and distribution channels, including eCommerce, large retailers, specialty independent stores, distributors, and a growing international network. This VP candidate must have strong data analysis skills for sales, trends, and emerging market opportunities, along with the critical ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all customers at a senior level to understand key objectives and ensure long-term mutual growth. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
· Develop strong and collaborative relationships with the POB Hunting marketing teams. Work closely to balance product offerings and set strategy for managing an appropriate channel mix of products.
· Embed customer profitability analysis disciplines throughout the retail sales function. · Collaborate and support the Strategic and Annual Plans in a team-driven environment with high levels of interaction with multiple internal and external resources. · Design and implement continuous improvement of various monitoring, measurement, and reporting metric systems. · Manage employees with effective communication, coaching and organizational development practices to sustain good morale, effectiveness, and performance of the work group. · Carry out other duties, responsibilities, and projects as may be assigned, in an effective manner.
