A Bangor teenager riding an ATV in Presque Isle died yesterday (August 2, 2025) in an ATV crash.

At approximately 4:45 Saturday afternoon, the 15-year-old male was driving a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly on the Cross Road ATV trail in Presque Isle. The teen was the third to last ATV in a group of ATVs traveling on the ATV trail when the ATV rolled over, and struck the teen as it rolled over. The teen was wearing a helmet. The crash remains under investigation.

Presque Isle Fire and Rescue, the Presque Isle Police Department and the Maine Warden Service responded to the crash. Emergency medical personnel performed CPR on the teen, but were unable to revive him.

The incident remains under investigation. This release will be updated if any new information becomes available.
