The Canadian Rimfire Precision Series (CRPS) will come to an exciting finish on September 22-23, 2018 in Petawawa, Ontario. Matches have been held across Canada between April and August for competitors to earn points to determine the champion in two divisions: Production and Open. The Production class includes rifles and scopes that are less than $500 each and the Open class is for those using any rifle and scope combination. The leader of the Production class at the end of the five point matches is Paul Ratz and the leader of the Open class is Jonpaul Noel. The youth shooters also have their own class where Ryan Henderson-Soucie is leading the way. “Thanks to ELEY ammunition and Korth Group for their support – without ELEY’s sponsorship CRPS wouldn’t have happened,” Rick K, CRPS.
Rimfire shooting is a great way to prove your .22LR skills at a long distance, shooting from distances ranging between 50 and 300 meters. Not only do you need to be able to make a good shot when shooting at 300 meters, you also need to know your equipment and trust that your firearm and ammunition are accurate enough to consistently hit the target. “CRPS matches present an excellent opportunity to test your skills and equipment – especially your ammo. According to Adam Paterson of Korth Group, “Competitors have discovered a ‘secret weapon’ for the CRPS matches – ELEYammunition. No other ammo is as accurate, consistent, and reliable as ELEY”.
Long range .22LR shooting has become a popular way to dig out those rifles that have been sitting gathering dust in the closet. Shooting a .22LR out to 300 meters is an incredible challenge, not only because that is a long way for a .22LR to be accurate, but a competitor also has to account for the wind, which at that distance can be quite difficult.
If you have not had a chance to experience this type of shooting discipline come down to the NRA World Shooting Championships at the Peacemaker National Training Center in West Virginia on September 20-22, 2018, when ELEY will have a precision rimfire side match set up.
