Arsenal, Inc. announces the release of the SAM7K-28 — the SAM7K platform configured as a short-barrel rifle (SBR) and released with a new precision-machined aluminum buttstock that secures to the rifle using a 1913 Picatinny attachment interface. The SAM7K-28 pairs Arsenal’s proven SAM7K model in 7.62x39mm with a purpose-built tactical stock engineered and manufactured in-house to deliver the strength, fit, and ergonomics required for a compact SBR.

The Stock

Central to the SAM7K-28 is Arsenal’s new CNC-machined aluminum buttstock assembly. Key attributes:

• Precision CNC machined single-piece aluminum body for dimensional accuracy and strength.
• 1913 Picatinny attachment interface used to securely mount the stock to the rear of the rifle.
• Lightweight tactical design that improves handling while preserving structural integrity.
• Ambidextrous cheek rest for consistent sight picture and shooter comfort.
• Four non-rotating QD sling ports for dependable sling attachment in multiple configurations.
• Protective rubber butt pad for comfort and retention.

Manufactured in-house to tight tolerances, the stock provides the mechanical stability and ergonomic improvements that make the short-barrel SAM7K practical and user-friendly.

• Plum — SAM7K-28P
• OD Green — SAM7K-28G

Each SKU includes color-matched handguard, pistol grip, buttstock, and the 10-round magazine for a coordinated, factory appearance.

What’s included & compatibility

Included with each SAM7K-28: FIME enhanced fire control group, sling (color varies by finish), cleaning kit, cleaning rod, oil bottle, thread protector, and one 10-round magazine (color matched to furniture). The SAM7K-28 is compatible with Arsenal’s SM-22 optic mounts, muzzle devices, extended magazines — all sold separately. It also fits perfectly in the Eternity Universal Pick-and-Pluck hard case. Product images may show optional accessories.

The SAM7K-28 SBR package is available through authorized Arsenal dealers and FFL retailers. Inventory varies by dealer — contact your local dealer for availability. Ownership and transfer of SBRs are subject to the National Firearms Act (NFA) and local law; purchasers must comply with all applicable transfer, registration and approval procedures.
