William Harris Crowned Champion at the Inaugural 2025 SK Lone Star Cup

Held June 7–8 at the Bayou Rifles Club, the 2025 Inaugural SK Lone Star Cup concluded with a bang, marking a successful launch for what promises to be a standout event in the smallbore silhouette calendar.

The competition featured two full days of smallbore standard rifle matches, with shooters firing two 40-shot matches per day for a 160-shot aggregate. A parallel smallbore benchrest silhouette match also ran, offering competitors another 160-shot aggregate challenge.

William Harris emerged as the 2025 SK Lone Star Cup Champion, securing the title with an impressive 137 out of 160. Team SK’s Jake Stine captured second place after a thrilling shoot-off with Ricardo Rueda of Mexico—both shooters tied at 135 out of 160.

In the daily aggregates, Harris also claimed the Jim Bowie Trophy for Saturday’s high score of 69 out of 80, while Dustin Flint earned the Davy Crockett Trophy on Sunday with a leading score of 71 out of 80.

The Saturday Team Match was taken by the trio of Dustin Flint (Team Berger) and Team SK’s Kaeli-Gracyn Bourgoyne and Jake Stine, combining skill and consistency for the win.

Fueled by strong competition, great sportsmanship, and a spirit of camaraderie, SK and Capstone Precision Group are thrilled by the success of the inaugural Lone Star Cup and are already looking forward to many more years of elite competition in the Lone Star State.
