Krieghoff International Limited Edition K-80/S Shotgun

Ottsville, PA – Krieghoff, world renowned manufacturer of high-quality competition shotguns, unveils the new K-80/S “Summers End” at the 2018 NSCA Sporting Clays Nationals. A timeless classic, the K-80 has a proven design requiring few technical modifications in its four-decade history stemming from the original K-32. Recently designers envisioned the idea of adding sideplates to provide a “new” classic look of the sideplate and sidelock guns of the past with graceful lines and identical in all other aspects. The very limited edition gives room for elaborate works of art providing engravers an expanded canvas to the K-80 receiver.

Master Engraver Hendrik Frühauf was commissioned to engrave the very first K-80S for its debut. Known for his exquisitely detailed work seen both on Krieghoff Guns of the Year and various custom projects, Frühauf designed an engraving that reveals more with each new glance.

The first Krieghoff K-80/S takes us to summer’s end with wild flowers and wheat in their full enameled and gold beauty. A wingshooter’s dream of pheasants, quail and woodcock adorn the receiver, top latch and trigger guard. Reverse gold gives the golden feeling of summer’s last days and the anticipation of the upcoming hunting season.

“We really wanted to capture the elegant and classic look of a fine sidelock shotgun and combine it with the more modern look of the K-80. The combined efforts of our gunmakers and engineers resulted in the K-80/S with a whole new look and feel. Inspired by the wonderful creations we have seen from our engravers over the years, we could only imagine what they would do with even more “canvas” of added graceful sideplates. Master engraver Hendrik Frühauf was commissioned to give the gun its final touch giving him free reign of creativity. He surprised us with a truly unique master piece worthy of the first K-80/S. “said Dieter Krieghoff.

“Summers End, the first K-80/S is configured as a 32” Parcours and includes a Custom Stock configured for the new owner.
