(Birmingham, AL) – Bangers LP, one of the country’s leading shooting sports distributors, is proud to announce and welcome the addition of Spencer Smoak to lead their logistics and warehousing team at their Birmingham, AL distribution center.

Most recently Spencer served as General Manager for DHL logistics at their 3.3M square foot distribution hub in Woodruff, SC. There, he was responsible for oversight of executing facility objectives to include safety, throughput, quality, and process improvement. Prior to working for DHL, Spencer had a distinguished 13yr. career with shooting sports distributor United Sporting Companies located in Chapin, SC. At USC, Spencer had oversight for all aspects of facility management and logistics at their South Carolina location.

Spencer will be responsible for increasing throughput, improving work flow, and maximizing resource utilization, to continue the growth trajectory Bangers has experienced since finishing construction on their new flagship distribution center in the fall of 2018. “Since moving into our larger facility, Bangers has worked diligently to increase the breadth and scope of our product offering to service the growing needs of our loyal dealer base. With this increase in volume, new demands have been put on our warehouse. Bringing Spencer on board to help streamline workflow and improve operational efficiency will result in increased speed and service levels to our customer network,” states Brent Wouters, Bangers President & CEO. “Spencer’s skill set and experience managing two step distribution logistics within the shooting sports industry will help solidify our position and reputation for best in class service within the shooting sports retailer community.”
