HIVIZ® Shooting Systems, the premier manufacturer of high-quality tritium/fiber-optic and fiber-optic sights for shotguns, handguns and rifles, proudly congratulates pro staff shooters Lanny Barnes and Teri (Tes) Salb on their outstanding performances at the 2025 NRA World Shooting Championship, held Sept. 30-Oct. 4 at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, IN. Their results underscore the dedication, skill and competitive spirit that define Team HIVIZ.
This year’s championship once again challenged competitors with a demanding 12-stage match covering pistol, rifle, shotgun and combined firearm disciplines. All firearms, ammunition, optics and equipment were supplied by the NRA and match sponsors, leveling the playing field and emphasizing pure marksmanship, adaptability and consistency across diverse stages.
Among a field of 166 elite competitors, Barnes earned a top 10 finish in IDPA, claimed the High Woman title for the second consecutive year, and placed 12th overall. The three-time Olympian continues to demonstrate her mastery across shooting disciplines, proving herself a powerhouse competitor in every arena.
“This match is incredibly challenging because you have to shoot 12 different disciplines from precision to run-and-gun to sporting clays and everything in between,” said Barnes. “You also have to use rifles, pistols and shotguns all with match-provided equipment that might be completely unfamiliar. The goal is to find the best all-around shooter, someone who can shoot any discipline, pick up any firearm and just run with it. I was thrilled to defend my title and take home the High Lady World Shooting Championship title. HIVIZ had great representation at the match, not only on some of the sights used but with some great competitors like my HIVIZ teammate Tes Salb who finished third.”
Salb also delivered a standout performance, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in Precision Air Pistol, and third in the Ladies category, reinforcing her reputation as a versatile and determined multi-gun athlete.
“This match is exhilarating and humbling for everyone,” said Salb. “Because of the format, you can excel at something you’ve never shot before and struggle with something you know well. It really comes down to skill and adaptability under pressure. Most stages allow only one shot per target so consistency matters. I think this match fosters more knowledge sharing among competitors than any other, as we all navigate each discipline and firearm. That’s what makes it so rewarding. I’ve attended this event since its inception in 2014, and I’m honored to represent HIVIZ this year.”
