Position Overview

ProForce Law Enforcement is an innovative leader in Law Enforcement equipment and firearms. Recognized for our excellence in creative marketing, technology, and world-class customer service. ProForce is currently seeking a Junior Buyer to join our staff in our Support Center located in Prescott, Arizona!

As a Junior Buyer, you will plan and coordinate activities involved with purchasing the firearms, accessories, and ammunition needed to sustain and enrich ProForce’s inventory. Under the supervision of our Senior Buyer, you will act as a primary point of contact between ProForce and our suppliers, negotiating and securing the best available terms and pricing, while cultivating strong long-term vendor relationships. Your ability to multi-task and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment will be key to driving the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor the entire purchasing process, and coordinate heavily with the Sales and Marketing departments for the promotion of your purchased products
• Negotiate special pricing incentives and agreements with suppliers
• Resolve vendor grievances and claims against suppliers.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
• Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery, follow up on open orders.
• Utilize and manage internal Buyers’ software and systems
• Liaison with other departments, particularly Operations and Accounting.
• Help determine Purchasing targets/budgets for your lines
• Work as part of an integral team

Job Requirements

·A solid understanding the firearms industry and a passion for firearms

·Prior Law Enforcement experience is a PLUS

·Preferred five (5) years’ experience as a buyer within the sporting goods industry

·Ability to travel up to 25% of time spent to trade shows and vendor meetings

·Ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner with internal and external contacts at all levels

·Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience with Purchasing Systems.

·Must be at least 21 years of age

·Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
