Kids & Clays Foundation Names Lemmon as Executive Director

The Kids & Clays Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Zac Lemmon as its new Executive Director. He will oversee the organization that works to support a nationwide series of clay shooting events with all proceeds benefitting Ronald McDonald House Chapters.

“We went through an extensive process for the most qualified candidate to help lead the Foundation into the future and Zac was clearly the right choice,” said Todd Kemmerer, Kids & Clays president. “Zac’s expertise and experience with the organization are exactly what we need to continue to fulfill our mission working with the shooting and outdoor industry, McDonald suppliers, and the communities they serve.”

Lemmon began his career in 2016 with Kids & Clays. Before that, he worked for the Sportsmen’s Alliance as associate director of field services. Earlier, he was the operations manager and head guide for a large hunting facility in eastern Ohio.

“I feel blessed to have this opportunity to lead a program that is vitally important to thousands of critically ill children and their families across the country each year,” said Lemmon. “I welcome the chance to continue our legacy of helping critically ill children and their families at a time they need it the most.”

Lemmon replaces Doug Jeanneret who had been executive director since 2014. During Jeanneret’s tenure, the organization grew from raising $800,000 annually to $5.2 million last year, with 47 events in 23 states. Since its inception in 1999, the Kids & Clays Foundation has raised more than $40 million to benefit Ronald McDonald Houses. The Houses provide a “home away from home” atmosphere for thousands of families every night during their time of need enabling them to be close to their sick or injured child.

“Doug is my mentor and friend who taught me much about how to run an organization and work with our vast sponsors over the last ten years,” said Lemmon. “For much of my time here, it was just us two with a great board of directors and an army of sponsors and volunteers helping us to succeed.”

The Foundation fulfills its mission by partnering with shooting sports enthusiasts and companies to generate funds to support local Ronald McDonald House Chapters, Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms, and Mobile Medical Units. It is the Charity of Choice of the National Sporting Clay Association, the Amateur Trapshooting Association, the National Skeet Shooting Association, and the Scholastic Clay Target Program.

Lemmon holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Science from the University of Mount Union. He was also a part of their 2008 National Championship football team. He is an avid shooter and outdoor enthusiast and resides in east-central Ohio with his spouse and three children.
