Heartland Public Shooting Park Celebrates Successful Debut of 2025 Cornhusker State Games

Heartland Public Shooting Park (HPSP) extends a heartfelt congratulations and thanks to all athletes, families, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the 2025 Cornhusker State Games Shooting Sports events.

This year marked HPSP’s inaugural role as host for the shooting sports competitions, and the response was outstanding. More than 500 participants from across Nebraska competed in nine disciplines, including: .22 Rifle Prone, .22 Silhouette, Adult Trap & Skeet, Youth Trap, High Power Rifle, Pistol, Plinking Pistol, Rimfire Challenge, and Sporting Clays.

“It was an honor to host the Cornhusker State Games Shooting Sports at Heartland Public Shooting Park,” said Jason Hornady, Vice President of Hornady. “We’re incredibly grateful to the competitors, volunteers, and supporters who made this event possible. Our facility offered a top-tier experience, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back next year,” he added.

The Heartland Public Shooting Park, managed by Hornady, is one of the largest, most complete public shooting facilities in the Midwest with many recreational and competitive activities taking place every year.
