SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) has recognized Smith & Wesson as Innovator of the Year, as well as Manufacturer of the Year. In addition, Sue Cupero, Vice President of Sales, was presented with the Chairwoman’s Award. All three awards were presented at the 2021 NASGW Annual Meeting and Expo in Columbus, Ohio.
“On behalf of all the men and women of Smith & Wesson, I am incredibly honored to receive these awards. Our employees strive every day to continuously design, build, and deliver the top-quality firearms that our iconic company is known for, and being recognized by the industry for their hard work is truly an honor.” Mark Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer said. “I am also incredibly proud to see Sue Cupero’s leadership and talent honored by the NASGW Chairwoman. Sue has been an integral part of Smith & Wesson for over 40 years, and in that time has worked her way from an entry level accounting role to Vice President of Sales. She is a deeply respected leader, mentor, and advisor not just within our company - but within the entire firearms industry. Her experience, intelligence, relationships, and knowledge of the industry are unrivaled - and on a personal level, Sue is a good friend and confidant, and I could not be more happy for her.”
