(Birmingham, AL) – Bangers LP, one of the country’s leading shooting sports distributors, is excited to announce the hiring of Jared Long to serve as the company’s Director of Merchandising.

Jared most recently held the position as Director of Sales with Armscor Precision/Rock Island Armory. Previous to Armscor, Jared served in a multitude of varying capacities within the purchasing department at United Sporting Company. Over his 8-year career with USC, Jared elevated himself through the organization starting as a marine buyer, transitioning to shooting sports buyer, and ultimately serving as firearms category manager through February, 2019. Jared’s broad-based category knowledge, vendor management, and execution of organizational goals contributed to his long-standing career growth. “Jared’s industry experience and relationships at the manufacturing level made him a sure fit within the Bangers L.P organization. As our company continues to grow, Jared’s ability to manage key metrics in P&L performance and vendor growth will afford Bangers the opportunity to expand even further into the years to come,” states Merchandising Vice President Dennis Donahue. “We are excited to have Jared on the team here and look forward to his near-term contributions in furthering vendor expansion and category performance.”

Over the course of the past several years, Bangers has constructed a new corporate campus, distribution facility, and expanded their sales footprint across the United States. A significant effort has been put forward to expand current product assortments as well as add new vendors to help support the needs of our growing dealer base. Jared will help these efforts in expanding Bangers offering further to bring even more value to not only our manufacturing partners, but loyal dealer network.
