The 2020 Muzzy Classic Is A Go!
The stage is set for the 21st Annual Muzzy Classic (July 11-12, 2020), and this tournament is one you don’t want to miss.
SUPERIOR, WI – The 2020 Muzzy Classic is less than a month away, and despite COVID-19 thwarting onsite activities such as raffles, 3-D shooting and entertainment, it won’t stop bowfishermen from slinging arrows in hopes of claiming the first-place cash prize of $10K.
The perfect escape from the COVID madness, the 21st Muzzy Classic will once again be held on the waters of Kentucky and Barkley Lakes, as well as the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers. The host for this year’s tournament will be Hu-b’s Outdoors in Eddyville, Kentucky.
What about social distancing? What better way to do it than on the water, and while normal festivities have been cancelled, teams are free to mingle about as they see fit. Come and enjoy!
This year’s Classic will be a Big 20 format — no numbers this year — with a Big Fish cash prize offered. The payout for the Big Fish winner will be based on the number of registrations, as will payout for places 4 through 10. Payout for 2nd place will be $5K and bronze earns $2,500. Yep, big money once again.
There will be a captain’s meeting on launch day, July 11, at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. launch scheduled after the meeting. Rough-fish skewering can be had from the Kentucky Lake Dam to Pickwick Dam, Barkley Dam to Cheatham Dam; on the Tennessee River from the Kentucky River to the Ohio River; the Cumberland River from Barkley Dam to the Ohio River and the Ohio River from Newburgh Lock and Dam to Highway 51.
The 21st Annual Muzzy Classic will conclude on Sunday, July 12, and bowfishermen are required to be ready for weigh-in starting at 7 a.m. There will be NO late weigh-in exemptions.
