This month’s Collector’s Elite Auction lineup features five standout listings that blend battlefield legacy, mechanical innovation, and rare Colt craftsmanship. From a reissued WWII M1911A1 to a factory-documented Python prototype, every item tells a story — and each one is ready for the next chapter in your collection.
WWII Allied Sidearm Collection – Featuring 1943 Colt M1911A1
Leading the lineup is a historically rich four-piece set of original World War II service pistols, anchored by a 1943 Colt M1911A1. Bearing the “WB” inspector’s mark of Waldemar Broberg, this parkerized Colt shows signs of arsenal reissue, likely having passed through wartime or postwar rebuild channels. Its wartime-correct trigger, slide stop, and checkered walnut grips remain intact, complemented by an original 1918-dated M1916 holster from Graton & Knight.
The set also includes a 1943 Walther P.38 AC43 with all-matching serial numbers, correct Waffenamt markings, and a 1944-dated “bla” holster — a battlefield-proven example of early DA/SA innovation. From the British side comes a 1916-dated Webley Mk VI in .455 Webley with its original leather holster, a trench-era icon with a top-break design and rich patina. Rounding out the collection is a pre-Soviet 1914 Tula Arsenal Model 1895 Nagant revolver, complete with Tsarist markings, Imperial roll stamps, and leather holster — a rare survivor from the twilight of the Russian Empire.
Together, this four-pistol set covers a wide span of WWII Allied armament and offers collectors a complete, authentic representation of the era’s most iconic sidearms.
Colt Diamondback .22 LR – 6-Inch Nickel, 1 of 2,200
One of the rarest of Colt’s Snake Guns, this Diamondback in .22 LR with a 6-inch barrel and bright nickel finish is 1 of only 2,200 ever made. The ventilated rib barrel, second-style walnut grips, and clean factory markings make this a premium example of a revolver that’s as refined in the hand as it is on display. Rimfire Snake Guns are already in high demand — and nickel variants in this condition are almost never seen.
Colt Python Hunter – Factory Scoped, Complete with Case
Only 2,400 Colt Python Hunters were ever produced, and this one checks every box. Built in 1981, it features an 8-inch barrel, factory-installed Leupold 2x scope, and Royal Blue finish. It ships with the original silver Halliburton-style case and factory accessories. This is a turnkey, factory-ready revolver hunting system and one of the finest scoped revolver packages ever assembled by Colt.
AMT Baby AutoMag – .22 LR, Stainless, 1 of 1,001
A retro-futuristic rarity, the AMT Baby AutoMag brings iconic .44 AutoMag styling to the rimfire world. This all-stainless, single-action pistol with its 8½-inch vent rib barrel and Millett adjustable sights was one of only 1,001 ever made. Perfect for the rimfire collector who wants something bold, functional, and impossible to miss.
Colt Python MK III Prototype – Factory Display Gun
Perhaps the rarest of all Snake variants, this Colt Python MK III was retained by Colt as a factory display and reference sample. Shipped in 2008 to Greg Martin Auctions, it features unique “PYTHON MK III” barrel markings and blends characteristics of the Python and MK III revolver lines. This is a one-of-one prototype with documented Colt provenance — a cornerstone piece for advanced Colt collectors.
These five standout listings offer more than just rarity — they represent turning points in history, craftsmanship and collecting. And they are just a few of the exceptional firearms up for bids in this month’s Collector’s Elite Auctions.
