Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a fatal off-road vehicle (ORV) accident that occurred Saturday in Fort Wayne.
At approximately 2:55 p.m., Allen County Sheriff’s Department dispatch received a call reporting an accident involving an ORV near the 400 block of W. Gump Rd. in Fort Wayne.
Initial investigation reveals that Paul Ream, 42, of Waterloo, was operating a side-by-side ORV-on private property when it overturned, partially ejecting Ream. Ream was pronounced dead on the scene. A juvenile passenger sustained minor injuries and was checked and released from the scene.
Neither occupant was wearing a helmet or safety harness at the time of the accident.
The incident is still under investigation.
Assisting agencies include the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, Allen County Coroner’s Office, Indiana State Police, and Huntertown Fire Department.
