North Carolina S3DA Hosts 3D Regional

Williamsburg, KY – North Carolina S3DA recently held their 2nd regional 3D qualifier for the 2022 season in Grover, North Carolina at Broadheads and Bloodtrails Archery Club. Archers from seven teams across the state met to compete. All archers that participated in the event qualified for North Carolina S3DA’s 3D Shooter of the Year in their respective class and division. S3DA members that have been in the program for a while were very eager to show the newcomers the ropes and welcome them into this big archery family. There were several new participants as well as familiar faces seen throughout the range.

Jason Gladden said, “The day started off a little misty, but it wasn’t too bad. We let everyone know that we highly recommended boots because we knew the course would be a little muddy on some of the lanes as some of the course held water from recent rain falls. The kids didn’t care anything about the mud, they love it! This was a mentally challenging course, so I would be confident in saying that all the kids were winners today.”

S3DA Parent, Jayme Bradley stated, “Corbin is brand new to S3DA and he shoots with Nebo Crossing Archery Team. Today was his very first competition. He was very nervous to the point that he didn’t want to come. When we arrived, everyone was super nice and helpful, so it took away that nervous feeling he had and replaced it with joy and laughter. He had such a wonderful time that he can’t wait to shoot again.”

North Carolina S3DA State Coordinator, Chris Poston stated, “It does my heart good to see these kids come together and make new friends, spend time with old friends, and enjoy being in the outdoors shooting archery. We kicked off the 3D season with a great turnout and we are looking forward to welcoming several new teams and archers over the course of this season.”
