It was a huge weekend for Team Mathews at the NFAA Outdoor Target Nationals and The Dakota Classic, held back-to-back at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center in Yankton, South Dakota. Both events highlighted a stellar showing, with back-to-back wins for Jimmy Lutz, a podium sweep in the Dakota Classic Men’s Division, and a total of 12 out of 18 podium spots claimed across both competitions.

Team Shooters Jimmy Lutz, Bodie Turner, and Kyle Douglas took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place sweeping the Championship Compound Open division at the Dakota Classic.

Mathews Teammates Sharon Wallace and Kaylee Giest added on to the team’s success at the Dakota Classic by securing 1st and 2nd place in the Championship Compound Female division. Furthermore, Team Shooters Tim Gillingham and Randy Morocco took 1st and 2nd place in the Championship Compound Senior division. Overall, Team Mathews secured 7 out of 9 podium spots in the Dakota Classic.

“It was a great way to end the target season with a bang,” said Lutz. “I have never felt so confident and accurate as I did this week. My TITLE 38 makes it much easier to do my job at hitting the middle”.

Team Mathews went on to produce another dominant performance competing in the NFAA Outdoor Target Nationals with Lutz taking top honors once again. Teammate Bodie Turner followed Lutz’s victory by taking 3rd place in the Men’s Compound division.

“You can’t always expect a perfect weekend, but it definitely feels great when it all comes together,” said Lutz. “A perfect 900 on day two helped me lock up the outdoor nationals with the TITLE 38”.

Rounding out another great event, Team Shooters Randy Morocco and Tim Gillingham secured another podium finish taking 1st and 2nd place in the Senior Compound division. Teammate Kaylee Giest secured 3rd in Women’s Compound.
