Wyoming Collegiate Conservation Symposium at Whiskey Mountain

Are you interested in a career in conservation? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department invites current college students and recent graduates to Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp in Dubois Aug. 8-11 to learn how to pursue a successful career in the outdoors at the newly created Wyoming Collegiate Conservation Symposium camp.

About the symposium:

Participants will gain hands-on experience and learn directly from seasoned Game and Fish employees. This immersive program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a successful career in the outdoors.

  • Role of wardens: Understand the crucial role of wardens in conservation and their job expectations.
  • Role of habitat, fish and wildlife biologists: Gain insights into the responsibilities and contributions of the department’s field biologists.

  • Research questions: Learn how to frame research questions to address management issues.
  • Personality styles: Explore common dimensions and traits of personality styles and enhance your ability to work with people of different personality types.
