Women’s Competitive Shooter AND ‘A Girl & A Gun’ Facilitator Now Sponsored By ERGO
Moriarty, NM - Please join us in welcoming Ashley Leatherman as ERGO’s newest sponsored shooter. Ashley is a 28 year old competitive shooter from Albuquerque, NM and current Facilitator for the Albuquerque Chapter of A Girl & A Gun. As a mother of two and wife to a sheriff’s deputy, Ashley’s competitive shooting journey started ten years ago when she attended matches with her husband and father-in law. In 2015, she began competing in USPSA pistol matches.
The next year Ashley got her membership for A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League and her first shooters slot to attend the A Girl & A Gun’s 3-Gun University held at the NRA Whittington Center. She began competing in 3-Gun matches shortly thereafter.
Becoming an Instructor
Passion grows by sharing time and knowledge. Ashley has been generously giving back to the shooting community by helping women in her area learn to use a firearm proficiently. She is now the Facilitator for the Albuquerque Chapter of A Girl & A Gun. She also became a Certified NRA Instructor.

In 2018 I obtained my NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Certification, so that I would be able to train women in a safe and non-judgmental environment to shoot a firearm proficiently.” -Ashley
