The hunting of all mountain lions in western Montana hunting districts 290, 291, 292 and the western half of 298 west of State Route 141 – which includes portions of Powell, Granite & Missoula Counties, closed at one-half hour after sunset on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

The order halting the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the districts had been met.
