SEDALIA, MO – June 12, 2025 – Sierra Bullets congratulates Corson Piper on his remarkable performance at the 2025 MDT Barrel Burner at the Lead Farm, held in Prosser, Washington on June 7-8. In a challenging match that tested the limits of precision rifle shooting, Piper secured a first-place victory among 91 shooters.

“The 2025 Precision Rifle Series Lead Farm Barrel Burner was the toughest match I have ever shot,” said Sierra-sponsored shooter Corson Piper. “The combination of typical lead farm stressors, the most indecisive wind and 95–100 degree temps made it a match of attrition. I managed to hold it together just a little better than the rest, but it was not easy.”

The MDT Barrel Burner took place over two days, each presenting unique challenges. Day one featured a field-style format, where riflemen had to navigate wind reading and natural terrain shooting. Day two transitioned into a more traditional PRS event, incorporating barricades, vehicles and movement. Piper utilized Sierra’s 6MM 100 Gr HPBT/CN MatchKing, renowned for its accuracy and long-range consistency. Paired with the reliable and effective Sierra MatchKing line, Piper’s skill and determination led to his success in this demanding match.
