Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is searching to fill Project Manager positions in our Newport, NH and Mayodan, NC facilities.
This position requires a highly motivated, achievement-oriented individual to manage local project teams. The role requires adherence to the Ruger New Product Design (NPD) process while striving to ensure on time, new product launches. As a Project Manager, you must possess the ability to lead and motivate local teams to meet Ruger’s visions and goals and to work with customers for VOC information and competitive analysis.
Other responsibilities of being a Project Manager include ensuring adherence to principles of simultaneous product and process development; estimating project capex, expenses and production costs; developing detailed project timelines and establishing milestones; mentoring project teams on lead product and process concepts; working with the Supplier Development Engineers and vendors; ensuring all aspects of Ruger’s NPD process steps are properly followed; ensuring a PFEP is kept accurate and current; ensuring the scope, design rules, timing, production targets, BOM, PFEP, and Line Layouts are updated, communicated and available; ensuring compliance to corporate, ITAR and ATF is maintained; and ensuring adequate resources are allocated to projects.
This position requires an AAS degree in a mechanical-related field and minimum 5 years of firearms manufacturing experience. Based on business needs, the position could require travel up to one week/month to other facilities or to suppliers.
