10-Part Original Series to Feature Fan Challenges for Host and
Madcap Inventor Jöerg Sprave and Co-Host Cheyenne Ruether
Amsterdam/Denver – Insight TV, the millennial-focused broadcaster, content creator and format seller, has partnered with Outdoor Channel, to co-produce Backyard Ballistics, a new, 10-part series hosted by madcap inventor and YouTube star Jöerg Sprave, and creative technician Cheyenne Ruether.
Zig Zag Productions, one of the UK’s foremost independent production companies, is producing Backyard Ballistics for Insight TV and Outdoor Channel. The series is being shot in 4K UHD and currently filming in Germany and Denver, CO.
In each episode of Backyard Ballistics, hosts Jöerg Sprave and Cheyenne Ruether take on a challenge and make some truly mind-bending launchers in the name of fun, science and, ultimately, to make a special fan’s day. Taking on challenges posed to him by his social media followers around the world, Jöerg digs through his cupboard of launcher designs to build such wonders as an epic stone skipping sling. From getting the brief and producing prototypes, to putting the final build through its paces in a nail-biting test, viewers will be given incredible insight into a range of crafts and processes.

Slated for summer 2021 release, Outdoor Channel will broadcast Backyard Ballistics in North America and Insight TV will broadcast the series to the rest of the world. Insight TV will include the series on its channels in the US and Canada six months after Outdoor Channel has broadcast the series.
