Knowles Fire burning along Flathead River near Paradise

A pair of Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks sites in Sanders County are temporarily closed to public access due to wildfire danger.

Kookoosint Fishing Access Site and Full Curl Wildlife Management Area are closed until further notice while crews respond to the Knowles Fire, which started Aug. 17 and has burned more than 275 acres as of Monday afternoon. The fire is burning along the Flathead River southeast of Paradise. Recreationists in the area should exercise caution.
