WGR Celebrates Florida's Inaugural Gun Sales Tax Holiday

Olympian and WGR Delegate Dania Vizzi Offers Keynote Support

TAMPA – Women for Gun Rights (WGR), nationwide organization of women committed to safeguarding the Second Amendment through education, outreach, and advocacy, today offered its full support for Florida's first-ever Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday. Running from September 8 through December 31, 2025, this groundbreaking initiative, signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis, exempts sales tax on firearms, ammunition, hunting gear, and related outdoor supplies, providing significant relief to law-abiding Floridians while promoting responsible gun ownership.

“This tax holiday is a tremendous step forward for Second Amendment rights in Florida," said Dianna Muller, Founder of Women for Gun Rights. “It makes essential tools for protection and recreation more affordable, especially for women who are increasingly taking charge of their own safety.”

Dania Vizzi, who is a two-time Olympian and WGR Florida Delegate, was on hand to speak and offer her enthusiastic endorsement at a special event hosted by Gov. DeSantis and local firearms retailers in the Tampa area. As a world-class skeet shooter who represented the United States at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Vizzi brings a unique perspective on the importance of accessible training and equipment for self-defense and sport.

The Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday is projected to save Florida consumers millions, with estimates from the National Shooting Sports Foundation indicating over $44 million in savings on firearms and ammunition alone. WGR views this as a model for other states, aligning with the organization's mission to educate, train, and advocate for women's right to bear arms without undue financial barriers.

“WGR stands firmly behind policies that remove obstacles to exercising our constitutional rights," said Muller continued. “Governor DeSantis' leadership on this issue empowers women and families across Florida to prioritize safety and self-reliance. We're grateful for Dania Vizzi's involvement, as her story inspires countless women to embrace the Second Amendment
