Sparta, Wisconsin – Team Mathews claimed 5 podium spots across three pro divisions at the ASA Pro/Am in London, Kentucky this past weekend, including first and third place finishes in Men's Known Pro, a first and second in Women's Open Pro and first in Men’s Open Pro.
Levi Morgan took top honors in the Men's Open Pro Division scoring 494 with a total of 20 twelve rings for the weekend. His win came down to a final arrow that found it’s mark in the 14 ring. “This game is unreal,” stated Morgan. “With every shot in the shoot down the pressure builds. Unlike most sports that feed off of adrenaline, you have to learn to keep those feelings in check until it’s over. It was a heck of a battle.”
In addition to first in the Men's Open Pro Division, Team Mathews also claimed first and third in Men’s Known Pro. Justin Hannah was able to hold off his competitors for first with a final score of 508 with 26 twelve rings. Teammate Robert Householder was edged out of second by two points, putting him in third.
Last but not least, Kailey Johnston and Emily McCarthy put on a show in the Women’s Open Pro Division. Kailey dominated the weekend with a final score of 464. McCarthy was her next closest shooter with a score of 450.
ASA Pro Division competitors shoot two rounds of twenty targets from marked and unmarked distances. These targets vary in distance up to 50 yards and the five highest scores from the first two rounds qualify for the shoot down to decide the winner.
