Austin, Texas – May 26, 2023 – The world’s leading entertainment destination for hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventure programming, Waypoint TV is honoring the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom with a week-long programming event starting on Memorial Day, that highlights our heroes in the series Operation Healing Heroes and American Heroes Outdoors. Waypoint TV’s Honor & Remember presented by MidwayUSA goes from Monday, May 29 to Friday, June 2, from 3 to 5 pm ET and will air on Samsung TV Plus (Channel 1184), PLUTO TV, VIZIO WatchFree+ (Channel 630), LG Channels (Channel 486), Tubi, FuboTV, Sling Freestream, XUMO (Channel 718), Local Now (Channel 2100), and the Waypoint website and app.
Operation Healing Heroes tells the incredible stories of different veterans in each episode, from all eras of war, sharing their experiences, memories, and lessons as they explore the outdoors with President, Founder, CEO, and professional muskie fisherman, Jay Garstecki. Jay is dedicated to ensuring this country cares for our U.S. military veterans. He has vowed to make a difference in veterans’ lives, even if it is one at a time. In 2022, Operation Healing Heroes documented their 50th episode and their nonprofit has paid for the treatment of over 200+ veterans for Post-Traumatic Stress.
American Heroes Outdoors honors our country’s heroes and their sacrifices by providing hunting, fishing, and outdoor programs for veterans and supporting other non-profits with the same mission. The program is a tribute to this nation’s service men and women and is a true documentation of the journey, commitment, struggle, and healing.
