Columbus, GA — Realtree announced today a partnership with Louisiana’s famed Honey Brake Lodge, bringing together the company that defined the camouflage market with the hottest destination and marketing force in the world of waterfowling today.
The partnership will help facilitate strategic branding opportunities for Realtree’s product partners in the waterfowling space by utilizing Honey Brake’s digital and video content as well as their market recognition among duck and goose hunters across America. The 20,000 acres of the old Louisiana Delta plantation where owners Michael and Ron Johnson created Honey Brake Lodge will serve as a real-world laboratory for building new media content and field-testing product for Realtree’s quality product partners.
“Realtree is recognizing Honey Brake for what we’re doing, not just as a top-rate waterfowl destination, but what we’re doing as a waterfowl brand,” says Drew Keeth, CEO of Honey Brake Lodge. “We will serve as their ‘tip of the spear’ so to speak in marketing Realtree to the waterfowl consumer.”
Realtree, which today is easily one of the most recognizable names in the outdoor industry, will help leverage licensing opportunities on behalf of Honey Brake Lodge and will also take over production of Honey Brake’s popular television show, the “Honey Brake Experience.” That show will now be seen exclusively on Realtree 365, a digital video on-demand platform providing the best and latest original hunting and fishing content from Realtree online.
“This is not only exciting news for Realtree and Honey Brake, but will be a great benefit for all of our license partners as well,” says Brad Schorr, Realtree Senior Vice President of Licensing. “Jointly, we can expand the level of exposure and quality of content we are providing to the consumer, which is a big win for all of the brands involved.”
Besides their role as a camouflage leader and marketing juggernaut, Realtree has long been involved in numerous initiatives that focus on conservation to improve opportunities for all sportsmen. Honey Brake Lodge is the largest single contract holder in the USDA Forest Service’s Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) and will share their experience in managing and creating critical waterfowl habitat with fans of Realtree developing content focused on habitat management.
Honey Brake, which offer’s five-star dining to clients at their lodge as well as holds special culinary events, will also create content for Realtree’s “Timber-2-Table” culinary initiative. The lodge will also contribute heavily to provide imagery, stories and video for “Realtree Duck Dog University,” the definitive online guide to hunting dog training and care.
“There are so many areas where Realtree and Honey Brake’s missions to serve America’s waterfowling public align that this partnership was simply a natural fit,” says Bill Harris, Realtree Senior Vice President. “It will allow both organizations to create and deliver more and better content, and that’s a great thing for our partners as well as consumers.”
