(Accokeek, MD) Beretta is excited to announce the North American debut of the Beretta 694, a brand-new over-and-under competition shotgun, which will be held during this week’s 2019 NSCA National Championship in San Antonio, TX.
Visitors to the Beretta building during this week-long sportings clays competition will have the opportunity to discover this new competition shotgun through daily presentations held at 11 am and 2 pm and by taking one of 6 available demo guns out to the practice course to test it out for themselves.
In addition to these daily activities, visitors who demo any Beretta shotgun will be entered into the ‘Win a Beretta 694’ promotional contest for a chance to win a new Beretta 694. Each participant will automatically receive a $50 gift card to be used only on BerettaUSA.com. There will be two winners drawn for this contest: one winner will be pulled during the ‘Beretta 694 Day’ at the end of the day on Thursday and the second winner will be announced during the North and South shoot-out competition on Saturday night.
Competitors can also enter and shoot the 2nd Annual ‘Beretta Challenge’ Super Sporting event and those who conquer the targets on the designated Team Beretta stations will once again be provided a ticket that they can return to the Beretta building to be entered for daily prizes as well as two final grand prizes.
The final prize of a new Beretta 92X pistol will be drawn from all tickets collected by Beretta staff throughout the entire competition. The ultimate grand prize for this event, a new Beretta 694, will be awarded to one male and one female shooter from all event entrants at the awards presentation on Sunday night.
Finally, on Wednesday, Beretta will be participating in the inaugural NSCA Vendor Row event, in which we will keep our building open until 7 pm and providing guests with a special 694 treat as well as hor-d'oeuvres and drinks.
Created specifically for clay shooting, the new 694 over-and-under platform was designed and tested in collaboration with the Beretta Shooting Team with the objective to match a shooter’s passion for the sport with a reliable and accurate competition shotgun.
The ergonomics of the stock have been completely redesigned to reduce the presence of obstacles in the field of view when shouldering the gun and the need for lifting the head to better track the lower target. The 694 showcases a slightly decreased drop, improved checkering on the safety, and a wider comb for an improved face placement regardless of the shooting position.
The redesigned, self-adjustable auget button reduces movement of forend over time and reduces the surface area that may get overheated during long days on the range.
The pistol grip has been designed with an aggressive checkering and increased surface area that guarantees the best possible grip and a better hand position. The steel top lever features a new, low profile and an anti-glare finish and has been designed to be ergonomic and easy to operate for both right and left-handed shooters.
The 694 is available in a 12 gauge caliber and 30” or 32” barrel lengths, with or without the adjustable B-Fast stock, and retails for an MSRP of $4,500. The Beretta 694 will be available for purchase from select Beretta dealers who will be on-site at the 2019 NSCA Nationals.
