GENESEO, ILL. – Springfield Armory® is proud to announce that its new for 2025 SAINT® Victor has received the highest “gold” ranking in the “Member Tested and Recommended” (MTR) program of the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA). The NTOA is a non-profit organization with tens of thousands of members dedicated to serving the law enforcement community by providing credible and proven training and information resources.
This collection of newly redesigned SAINT Victors — made up of 5.56mm rifles and pistols with 11.5”, 14” and 16” barrels as well as 16” and 20” 7.62mm rifle variants — features enhanced components and professional-grade reliability. The result is a full line of top-tier defensive AR-pattern firearms.
Thoroughly vetted and rigorously tested by a hand-selected group of law enforcement officers, the SAINT Victor scored an impressive 4.5 out of a possible 5.00 in NTOA’s testing. Simply achieving an MTR ranking alone is remarkable, but the SAINT Victor’s score placed it in the very top “gold” scoring range. The Victor is now part of an exclusive group of firearms deemed deserving of the NTOA’s law enforcement-oriented MTR program.
Tested products that receive the MTR ranking are given a “standard” rating from a score of 3.00 to 3.99, “silver” from 4.00 to 4.49, and a “gold” rating with a score from 4.50 to 5.00. The information and full review of the SAINT Victor are available for viewing by NTOA members in the group’s Member Tested and Recommended online database.
During testing, one law enforcement reviewer commented as follows: “We collectively fired around 1,500 rounds through the SAINT Victor, deliberately pushing it to its limits in hopes of inducing a jam, misfeed or any failure. The rifle performed flawlessly, cycling every round with precision and consistency. Overall, the Victor exceeded our expectations and proved itself as a dependable, versatile and well-crafted rifle ready for serious use.”
Another officer had similarly positive feelings about the Victor. “I fired hundreds of rounds … . I was impressed that I did not encounter a failure to fire, failure to extract, double-feed, etc. The rifle ran smoothly, utilizing various brands and types of ammunition. I gave this rifle several opportunities to jam, but … it stayed consistent.”
“We’re extremely proud the SAINT Victor received the esteemed MTR gold ranking from NTOA,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “Considering the rigorous and demanding testing standards of the MTR program, this award shows that the new-for-2025 SAINT Victors truly deliver duty-grade performance.”
