BACKGROUND: The new 2.1-mile section of the B&O Trail extends the existing trail westward from the Tilden Trailhead at County Road 500 East and terminates at C.R. 250 East. The completed project creates more than 8.3 miles of continuous trail route for locals and visitors to use. In partnership with local contributors, the B&O Trail extension was funded through a $4.58 million grant from the second grant round of Governor Holcomb’s Next Level Trail initiative.
