Over the past several weeks, Team Ruger competitors have claimed top finishes at major events nationwide, reinforcing the brand’s reputation for excellence in both design and performance.
Team Captain Doug Koenig showcased his precision and consistency at the 2025 Bianchi Cup Championship, held at the Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club in Hallsville, MO. Competing with the Custom Shop SR1911®, Koenig secured a second place finish with an impressive score of 1918 X 182. His long-standing success at the Bianchi Cup is a testament to his skill and the unwavering reliability of Ruger firearms.
Back east, teammates Dave Olhasso and James McGinty delivered standout performances at the Pennsylvania State Steel Challenge Championship. McGinty clinched first place in both the Open and Limited divisions using the Ruger RXM™ pistol and Custom Shop SR1911 in 9mm, respectively. He also earned a second-place finish in the Rimfire Pistol Optics division with the Mark IV™ 22/45™ Tactical. Olhasso followed with a strong showing of his own, finishing second in Production with the RXM pistol, second in Single Stack with the Custom Shop SR1911, and third in Limited Optics.
The duo carried their momentum into the USPSA Mid-Atlantic Sectional, where Olhasso captured first in the Limited 10 division and McGinty placed third in Single Stack – both using the Custom Shop SR1911. At the Pennsylvania State IDPA Championship, Olhasso secured a win in the ESP division with the SR1911, while McGinty claimed first in CCP using the RXM pistol.
Out west, Randi Rogers and Gordon Carrell represented Team Ruger at the Rocky Mountain Regional and Colorado State IDPA Championships. Rogers earned High Lady honors at both events with the RXM pistol, and Carrell secured a third place finish in ESP using the Custom Shop SR1911. The pair continued their winning ways at the Georgia State IDPA Championship, each taking first in their respective divisions with the RXM pistol.
