(Bolivar, Ohio) Nilodor, manufacturer of the most exceptional quality odor control and pet care products in both the commercial and family pet markets is pleased to announce Derek Nielsen as the Vice President of Sales for the Pet division.
Nilodor, an industry leader in the odor control and odor neutralizing market, has been manufacturing commercial and pet care products in Ohio since 1954. Their line of pet care products includes the Tough Stuff line of stain and odor eliminators, Bobbi Panter and Ultra shampoos, conditioners, and sprays, and the Natural Touch Health & Wellness products.
At Nilodor, Derek will be responsible for helping grow pet sales, brand recognition, and supply chain strategy on the Nilodor branded and private label lines. Derek tells us, “I am thrilled to join the Nilodor team and look forward to working closely with our partners to expand our footprint across the distribution and retail landscape.”
Derek joins Nilodor from Phillips Pet Food & Supplies, where he was the Director of Sales for the West with overall responsibility for both Pet and Lawn and Garden in the Mountain and Pacific time zones. Prior to joining Phillips Pet, Derek worked in Sales and Business Development, Marketing, and General Management roles in a wide variety of companies and industries, capped with leading national distribution and business development efforts for both Honeywell Commercial Security and the Industrial arm of Essendant. At Essendant, Derek held positions in strategic sales and business development, with a particular focus around supply chain strategy and analytics in industrial distribution. He also spent significant time in customer facing leadership roles with Procter & Gamble, Hunter Douglas, and Aspen Pet Products. He joined Procter & Gamble after 5 years in the US Air Force as an engineering and acquisitions officer. Derek holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy. He resides in Denver with his family where they enjoy everything the Mile High City has to offer.
