Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation (AZSFWC) awarded $82,947.34 in grants from their L. Gary Stinson Grant Fund to eleven Arizona non-profit organizations in the 3rd quarter.

AZSFWC’s Stinson Grants focus on three types of grant categories; Habitat Conservation, Conservation Education, and Youth Recruitment and Retention.

• Two grants dealt with Habitat: Pheasants Forever Women on the Wing’s Date Creek Water Project, and Wildlife Water Works Dirt Tank Renovation Project.
• Three grants centered on Education: Arizona Raptor Center Education Program, Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society Sheep Hunter Clinic, and Wildlife For Tomorrow’s Mesquite Wilderness Oasis.
• Six grants focused on Youth: Mogollon Sporting Association’s Archery in the Schools Program, Arizona Shooting Sports Education Foundation’s Commissioner’s Cup Championship Shooting Vests, Arizona Mule Deer Organization Youth Camps (2), Arizona Deer Association Youth Camp, and Shoot Right’s 3D Archery Equipment and Range.

The L. Gary Stinson Grant Fund is made possible by the revenue generated from the AZSFWC “Conserving Wildlife” license plate program in cooperation with the Arizona Department of Transportation. Year to date in 2025, AZSFWC has awarded $213,620.00 in grant funds.
