Sedalia MO – Team Vihtavuori’s Jeff Peinhardt has won the Light Varmint Grand Aggregate with a score of .1573” at the 37th Annual Hogroast benchrest competition, shooting Vihtavuori’s N133.
The Hogroast benchrest competition was hosted at the Fairchance Rod and Gun Club in Smithfield, PA by the National Bench Rest Shooter’s Association on the weekend of May 3rd and 4th. Fifty-one benchrest shooters from across the East Coast converged for the competition, facing a dramatic swing in weather conditions. Competitors battled everything from heavy rainfall and strong winds to periods of bright sunshine and dead calm. Those fluctuating elements tested the adaptability and focus of all participants.
Peinhardt mastered the wind conditions with a peak tuned rifle, using Vihtavuori N133 powder, Lapua .220 Russian Cases and his own hand-made bullets using Berger J4 Jackets, to place first in the Light Varmint 100 Yard Grand Aggregate with a score of .1342”.
Following his win Peinhardt commented, “When winning counts, confidence is in Vihtavuori powders!”.
Adding to his weekend's achievements, Peinhardt also secured 3rd place in the Light Varmint 5 Shot 200 Yard Match.
