Bill Voudrie Named Central Regional Coordinator for Illinois S3DA

S3DA is pleased to announce that Bill Voudrie has been named as the Illinois Central Regional Coordinator. In this role, Bill will focus on the development and operation of S3DA within the central region of Illinois. He will work closely with Illinois State Coordinator Josh White to promote the growth of youth archery across the state by educating, recruiting, and supporting individuals and organizations interested in the S3DA program. Bill will also assist with local archery shoots and actively encourage participation in regional, state, and national S3DA events.

Born and raised in Moweaqua, Illinois, Bill still resides in his hometown with his wife Lindsey, son Will (13), and twin daughters Karly and Kaylee (12). He is employed by DeClerck Logistics, a contractor for the Bayer Soybean Production Plant in nearby Stonington. A dedicated community member, Bill has served for 25 years as a Captain with the local Volunteer Fire Department, and he holds the position of Scoutmaster for his local Boy Scout troop. Bill is an avid outdoorsman with a deep love for hunting and fishing, especially spring turkey hunting with family and friends.

Bill’s journey with S3DA began in 2022 when his son Will joined a local archery team. The team dissipated shortly after Will joined so Will was unable to participate for a year due to the lack of nearby options. This motivated Bill to meet with the local school board with the proposition of forming a school-affiliated archery team. After a few meetings, the school board voted in favor of the idea. In September 2024, the Central A&M Raiders Archery Team was officially established. The team quickly found success earning a 3rd place team trophy at the state championship in their first competitive season.

Bill wanted to get more involved with the S3DA organization, so he reached out to Josh White about taking on a more active leadership role. Josh decided that Bill would make a great liaison for the central region of Illinois as a Regional Coordinator and Bill gladly accepted the role.

“My short-team goal is to get the S3DA brand recognized within local schools and generate interest among youth,” said Voudrie. “My long-term vision is to collaborate with State Conservation Coordinator Drew Kazenski to expand the new 3D Archery Target Park at Lake Shelbyville, with the hope of hosting more 3D tournament events and potentially a future state championship at the location.”

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic 3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA youth participate in 3D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Youth members can participate at regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of youth archers.
