COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife recently earned three top places from the Association for Conservation Information’s (ACI) 2024 awards competition.
The Association for Conservation Information is a national, nonprofit organization of natural resources communicators. Through ACI, state, federal, and Canadian wildlife resource agencies share best practices and ideas. The annual ACI competition honors the best in information, social media, print publications, videos, graphics, and marketing.
ODNR's Division of Wildlife earned the top spot in the logos and illustrations category in ACI's 2024 competition.
A popular series of six stickers from the Division of Wildlife was awarded first place in the logos and illustrations category. The sticker series includes a monarch butterfly, eastern hellbender, sunfish, wood duck, wild turkey, and Virginia opossum. The stickers are provided free at events, such as the Ohio State Fair and Wildlife Diversity Conference. The detailed and colorful illustrations help the Division of Wildlife connect with longtime supporters of the agency’s mission, reach new audiences, and bring attention to the agency’s conservation legacy.

The 2023 Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp placed third in the one-time publication category in the ACI 2024 competition.
The 2023 Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp, featuring a gray treefrog, won third place in the one-time publication category. Each year, outdoor enthusiasts voluntarily purchase the $15 collectible stamp to directly impact the future of Ohio conservation. Stamp proceeds go into the Wildlife Diversity Fund, with the goal of improving habitat restoration, land purchases, conservation easements, and wildlife education. A public photo contest determines the photograph that appears on each year’s stamp. The 2024 stamp is a photograph of a cedar waxwing, and the 2025 legacy stamp contest focuses on pollinators.
You can purchase this year’s stamp and the nationally acclaimed 2023 stamp online. Stamp collectors and supporters enjoy knowing that their purchase funds wildlife and habitat conservation across the Buckeye State. Ohio residents can enter the 16th annual Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp Photo Contest from Monday, Aug. 5 until Friday Aug. 16, with the winning pollinator image displayed on the 2025 legacy stamp.
