FWP to repair boat ramps at Mallard’s Rest and Gallatin Forks fishing access sites

Boat ramps closed during repairs; sites remain open

BOZEMAN – Boat ramps will be closed temporarily this week at Mallard’s Rest and Gallatin Forks fishing access sites while maintenance staff with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks repair the ramps.

Boat ramps at both sites will be closed Oct. 30 and 31. Construction will focus on repairing portions of the ramps that have been impacted by flooding and erosion.

Other areas of the two sites will remain open during construction, though parking will be limited in the vicinity of the boat ramps.

Mallard’s Rest Fishing Access Site is along the Yellowstone River about 13 miles south of Livingston. Gallatin Forks Fishing Access Site is at the confluence of the East Gallatin and Gallatin rivers about 2 miles north of Manhattan.
