Season-Setting Meetings in Miles City, Glendive Next Week

Residents of southeast Montana have multiple opportunities to take part as the hunting regulations season-setting process begins. Scoping meetings are underway around the state this month, with a public meeting set for Tuesday, July 8 in Miles City, and Wednesday, July 9 in Glendive. Both meetings will run from 6-8 p.m. Miles City’s meeting is at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks office in Miles City, and Glendive’s is at Dawson Community College’s Ullman Center.

If you can’t attend a meeting in person, the July 8 meeting will also be available online via Zoom (link below). A fourth option to share ideas on what changes you’d like to see in the hunting regulations is to submit an online survey. Follow this link to complete the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/seasonsetting FWP will accept input via the online survey through July 20.

These meetings and your input are critical for FWP staff as we work to develop regulation proposals for the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission to consider this fall.
