Team Berger’s John Mullins delivered a strong performance at the prestigious 2025 Conard Bernhardt Silhouette Championship, held this past April 26th and 27th in Pe Ell, Washington. Battling windy conditions, Mullins finished second place overall among 120 competitors with a score of 144x160. He also clinched a win in the standard rifle division, scoring an impressive 73/80.
The annual championship challenged shooters with a rigorous format consisting of a combined 80-shot smallbore standard rifle match and an 80-shot smallbore silhouette match. Over the two-day event, competitors fired a total of 160 shots for score, with two 40-shot matches each day. The targets were metallic silhouettes of animals—chickens at 40 meters, pigs at 60 meters, turkeys at 77 meters, and rams at 100 meters.
“The conditions were windy,” Mullins commented. “But with complete confidence in my equipment, all I had to do was focus on shot placement.”
Mullin’s 22LR ammunition was matched to his rifle at Lapua’s Rimfire Performance Center. Unique lots of ammunition are tested at 50 and 100 meters simultaneously, identifying the best performing ammunition for purchase. This service is available to any shooter who wishes to gain a competitive advantage. For more information visit. Rimfiretest.com.
