Moultrie Mobile Addresses Sunsetting of 3G Network

Moultrie, the industry leader in game-management solutions, introduced the world’s most advanced wireless game camera system in 2016 — Moultrie Mobile. The Moultrie Mobile MV1 Field Modem runs on the Verizon 3G network to transmit trail camera images from the field to your smartphone, tablet and computer.

Verizon is upgrading its network from 3G to 4G LTE. In the near future, Verizon will begin sunsetting the older 3G network. Through Moultrie Mobile’s strong partnership with Verizon, we have been guaranteed that all MV1 3G modem will work through December 31st, 2019. So, Moultrie Mobile subscribers can rest assured that the MV1 modems will continue to work for through the remainder of 2019! After December 31st, 2019, Moultrie can’t ensure proper service or function on the 3G network as Verizon will be turning off 3G towers after this date. However, any MV1 modems still operating, can be used just like before, until it no longer provides the service you’ve come to expect.

Moultrie Mobile already has new 4G modems — the MV2 and MA2 Field Modems — available and running on the networks. These will not be affected in any way by the January 1, 2020 deadline. The MV2 runs on Verizon’s 4G network and the MA2 runs on AT&T’s 4G network. As a service to existing 3G users, Moultrie Mobile is offering all MV1 owners an exclusive offer to upgrade each MV1 they own to either the new MV2 or MA2 modem for only $20 per modem, plus tax, with free shipping. This is nearly $100 off the retail price of the new 4G modems.
